Role Summary
Agency: Cwm Taf Care & Repair
Location: Ferndale
Salary: £31,155 per annum
Hours: 40 Monday to Friday, 8am-4.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive minor plumbing repairs to Care and Repair clients to enable them to remain in their homes safely.
- Install minor adaptation works or complete repairs to assist a client’s home from hospital and prevent readmission.
- Deliver small works projects in partnership with Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Housing Associations.
- Perform works including:
- General plumbing: WHB/WC repairs, tap repairs, pipe leak fixing, wall & floor tiling, plaster patching, painting, carpentry.
- Key safes.
- Small ramps and home access.
- Minor carpentry: hanging doors, replacing kitchen worktops.
- Handrails & grabrails.
- Security work.
- Moving furniture.
- DIY-type jobs.
Equipment and Vehicle
Use of company vehicle, tools, IT equipment, mobile phone or mobile allowance, uniform & PPE provided.
Qualifications & Requirements
Full driving licence and full DBS check are required. The agency will organize the DBS if not yet obtained.
