Role Overview
Responsible for supervising subcontractors and delivering piping erection works in line with site safety, quality, and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractor piping erection teams
- Execute the approved piping erection strategy and construction plan
- Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and inspection requirements
- Manage inspections, mandatory tests, and conformity checks
- Clear punch list items and support timely turnover to commissioning
- Verify preparation and completion of SWCF and as-built documentation
- Implement the 0 Deviation Program and continuous improvement initiatives
- Report progress, issues, performance, and lessons learned
Construction & Execution
- Manage daily piping erection activities and resources
- Ensure works meet drawings, specifications, and contractual scope
- Identify materials, tools, and equipment requirements
- Validate material requests and monitor subcontractor performance
- Resolve technical queries with engineering and site management
- Manage non-conformances and discrepancies to closure
Quality, Testing & Safety
- Schedule and support inspections, tests, and walkdowns
- Ensure correct use of approved materials and consumables
- Coordinate with Quality teams and maintain inspection records
- Enforce EHS rules including lifting, work at height, lock-out/tag-out, and mechanical safety
- Deliver daily toolbox talks and risk awareness briefings
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate progress and performance reporting
- Ensure quality records and as-built documentation are completed and signed
- Support turnover packages in line with programme milestones
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: Technical diploma or equivalent
Essential: Site construction and subcontractor supervision experience
Essential: Knowledge of power plant piping systems
Desirable: Power plant construction training and multicultural experience
