We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to join our Band 5 community rotations. The service comprises of an Intermediate Care service, Domiciliary Physiotherapy and Falls prevention services. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established multidisciplinary team. The post offers excellent personal and professional development within a well-established and supportive environment. There is a Band 7 Clinical specialist physiotherapist who will provide supervision and ensure personal development plans are implemented. In return we expect candidates to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. This post may close early due to high numbers of applications so you are advised to apply promptly.

The rotation includes:

  • The Falls Prevention service is a multidisciplinary team providing community based assessments for service users who are at risk of falling. Therapists take a holistic approach to treatment following completion of a multifactorial assessment and provide rehabilitation either at home, in a clinic setting or in one of our group based exercise classes.
  • The Domiciliary Physiotherapy Service supports therapists to manage a varied caseload ranging from the management of frailty to treating patients with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • The Intermediate care service works in partnership with Lancashire County Council within short term beds to ensure patients are safely discharged from hospital. This specialist team rehabilitates patients back to their base line, before working closely with the individual and their families to facilitate a timely return home.
