- BS9 Area 6 hours per week | Fridays from 9:30am | £13.20 per hour A friendly young man living in the BS9 area is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant (PA) to provide support for 6 hours per week.
The working day will be Fridays from 9:30am, the start date is flexible.
This role is ideal for someone who is kind, reliable, empathetic, has a good sense of humour, and enjoys building positive working relationships.
About the Role The purpose of this role is to support a young man to maintain his independence and access his local community.
Tasks may include: Support with shopping and other domestic tasks Accompanying and supporting him in the community Support to access social opportunities Assisting with transfers and mobility when required The employer uses a manual wheelchair and has a visual impairment; therefore, the successful PA will need to be confident providing practical support with mobility and moving safely in different environments.
Full guidance will be provided and a willingness to learn new skills is essential.
Interests The client enjoys: Liverpool FC and football in general Listening to music, particularly rap music Going out for food and drinks Pokémon Jewellery and visiting jewellery shops Meeting people and having a laugh It would be great to hear from applicants who share some of these interests.
About You The ideal PA will: Be a driver with access to a suitable vehicle Be a non-smoker Be reliable, patient and trustworthy Be willing to learn new skills and have a person-centred approach to support Have a good sense of humour and enjoy a bit of banter Have or be willing to get an enhanced DBS check While previous care experience is not essential, the right attitude and a willingness to learn are important.
This position is funded through a Direct Payment and paid via the PAYE payroll system (not cash-in-hand)
