Overview

Job Title: Personal Assistant for Social Care Direct Payment Recipient
Reporting to: NANTGAREDIG/CARMARTHEN AREA
Client to be looked after in Personal Assistant\’s home. 16 nights a year respite support with 9 hours per respite night wrap around support. 3p.m–10p.m. and 7a.m–9a.m.

Salary: Up to £110.80 per night shift and £12.60–£13.50 per hour wrap around hours.

The client is a 31 year old male with a diagnosis of mild learning disability. He is physically able, enjoys being active and social, and seeks respite support to gain independence from family members, have opportunities to socialise, and build daily living skills in preparation for potential independent living. He requires very little physical support but needs support in social settings to understand others and requires prompting and supervision to manage daily living skills. He has a job, so weekday respite may involve picking up or dropping off at his place of work (Carmarthen). He requires prompting to ensure he takes medication as prescribed during the day.

Note: This role involves working in the Direct Payment Recipient’s home and supporting access to facilities and community activities.
