Responsibilities and Support Tasks
The employer requires personal assistance with bathing, toileting, and meal preparation. When appropriate, some gentle stretches to the limbs are given to alleviate pain and stiffness.
Training and Equipment
We have a tilt table which is easy to use, and training is given initially under the supervision of a physiotherapist. We have tracking hoists and a lift on the premises. We have a wheelchair‑accessible vehicle; a driver would be preferred but is not essential. Training can be given if the PA has no previous experience.
Funding and Independence
This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable the individual to manage their support independently. Training can be provided as required and where available.
Requirements and Verification
A Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS) / criminal record check will need to be undertaken for this post. This will be completed on acceptance of the job offer.
