Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer: Our client is looking to recruit a female personal assistant to provide support for 4 hours per week with domestic tasks, managing correspondence, and supporting our client to attend medical appointments when required. Our client lives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Anxiety, Depression and Autism.
Main duties:
- Social duties: keep in touch and socialise with family and friends, attend medical appointments.
- Domestic duties: support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry. These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for: Values someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: someone with previous care & support experience.
Other: due to the nature of this role including medical the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 4 hours per week. Times and days to be discussed.
Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour.
Skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Essential: Previous care and support experience, confidentiality, good at building relationships.
- Preferred: driving licence, car and appropriate insurance, good communicator, a good listener, ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References. This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
