To undertake administration tasks to maintain accurate member data and calculate and pay pension benefits for a specific category of membership. Work as part of a team to provide efficient and effective pensions administration service to members, employers and third-party agencies, ensuring excellent customer service in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain member record, recording and notifying relevant departments of changes to members' personal details, to verify data and enable pension benefit calculation.
- Calculate and pay refunds of pension contributions for Local Government Pension Scheme members and perform benefit calculations for Career Average Revalued Earnings scheme member benefits.
- Process new entrants into the pension scheme, including checking the NI database and corresponding with previous pension providers to investigate aggregation of previous LGPS benefits.
