We are currently recruiting a Butchery Production Operative to join a busy chilled food production site in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity with an immediate start available and weekly pay.
Pay & Hours
- £14.09 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am - 4:30/5pm
- Average 40 - 42 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, debone and prepare meat products to specification
- Portion steaks and other meat cuts using skilled knife work
- Operate production machinery including cutting equipment, vacuum packers and metal detectors
- Follow strict food safety, hygiene, HACCP and health & safety standards
- Complete all relevant production and hygiene paperwork accurately
- Support the Butchery Supervisor with daily production tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- High attention to detail with accurate record keeping
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT and communication skills
