Pay support officer required for admin and clerical duties. Input data directly into ESR and support payroll officers to ensure completion of payroll for the Trust. Ambitious person to join Payroll team, receive training and support to provide admin and clerical support. Post holder will input payroll and expense data, deal with enquiries from staff and managers, and input payroll data directly into ESR. This is a mixed role with a variety of processes; training will be provided. Flexible role allowing a mix of working from home and office.

Record information for payroll with regards to temporary or permanent changes. Check and pay expense claims in accordance with NHS terms and statutory regulations. Produce payroll and cover payroll team during absences, planning and organising tasks to meet deadlines. Respond to and answer queries from staff and managers, using tact when required. Use Excel spreadsheets and database skills to download, format, and analyse financial data. Review and check accuracy of input and output before and after payroll production. Handle routine enquiries from third parties and government bodies. Report discrepancies, unusual features, or queries to the appropriate person, ensuring fraud protection. Assist with complex and sensitive financial queries such as AFC changes, personal pay and conditions, from staff and non‑financial managers, other internal bodies, and external organisations, and advise with recommended solutions.
