Distribution Planner Location: Avonmouth Hours: Mon‑Fri, 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for route allocation of 30‑40 multi‑drop vehicles.
- Plan and allocate deliveries and collections with 3rd‑party transport providers.
- Communicate with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers and other DSV hubs.
- Produce monthly financial and service reports and KPI results.
- Collaborate with warehouse and internal colleagues to provide the best service.
- Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a planner with multi‑drop experience.
- Excellent understanding of domestic HGV driving legislation, load capacities, driver hours and transport regulations.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the area.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to multi‑task under pressure and problem‑solve.
- Experience working with departmental KPIs such as CPVD (Cons per vehicle day).
