Overview of the Role
As a Operations Support Assistant at Edsential, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and functionality of our facilities at the Conway Centre. You will carry out a variety of maintenance tasks, assist with housekeeping duties, and support our catering team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work and is keen to contribute to a welcoming and well‑maintained environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in Maintenance, cleaning, catering, or hands‑on work
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- A proactive attitude and capability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards is beneficial
- First aid certification is a plus, but training will be provided
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic upkeep and practical tasks across the centre’s buildings and grounds, i.e. painting, basic repairs, grounds upkeep
- Undertake routine and deep cleaning of accommodation, communal areas, and offices
- Support the catering team in meal preparation and maintaining kitchen hygiene
- Complete compliance checks and preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist with room setups for meetings, events, or activities
