Overview: Diabetic eye screening checks for eye problems caused by diabetes. As a trainee screener you will be trained to complete the Health Screener Diploma and work in clinics across Greater Manchester North.
Key duties:
- Ensure patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout the screening process.
- Undertake the screening checklist to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintain camera and equipment for optimal image capture.
- Administer eye drops and take photographs with correct field of view.
- Identify patients requiring urgent onward referral and record referrals.
- Maintain a sufficient stock of consumables.
