Education, Early Years & Skills Educational and Child Psychology Service

Contract: Fixed Term (2 years)

Salary: Soulbury Trainee EP Scale 2-4

Hours: 36.66 per week (inclusive of university requirements)

Based: Spindles

Closing Date: Wednesday 25th February 2026

Interview Dates: Tuesday 10th March 2026

Role Overview:

You will complete your Year 2 & 3 training in Oldham, where you will be part of the Educational & Child Psychology Service delivering its preventative and statutory duties to schools and the council as well as undertaking training, project, research and evaluation work.

You will be supported to meet all university standards and will receive supervision from your supervisor alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team, alongside ample opportunities for additional support and supervision via our comprehensive supervision model.

The needs led model of delivery in Oldham means that the service is able to provide a range of opportunities which will allow you to experience the breadth of what being an EP means.

We are also excited to have several projects currently underway (Autism in Schools, MELSA, PINs, Delivering Better Value, Change Partnership Programme) which are offering increased opportunities for a range of work and increased focus on preventive services.
