Based: Hybrid Spindles/Home

Role Overview

Working within the Council's ICT Service, you will join a skilled software and applications team. You will be responsible for the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of software applications and systems that meet the Council's strategic objectives. This role demands strong technical skills, collaborative abilities, and a commitment to service excellence, following ITIL and Prince2 methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and upgrade software applications and system solutions, ensuring they align with the Council's needs and ICT's architectural constraints.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Azure AVD, SCCM, InTune, Powershell.
  • Ensure the delivery of ICT services in line with agreed SLAs, contributing to service design and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key member of resolver groups and technical resource teams for service operations and change projects.
  • Provide face-to-face and remote technical support and document processes in the knowledge base.
  • Support the Principal Applications Team Lead in delivering new functionality and upgrades to existing solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support Lead.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in ICT systems and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
