Location: Dobcross, Oldham OL3

Salary: £14.03 per hour. Optional extra hours available.

About the Role: We are looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated individual to assist our client who requires some extra support to get to their activities each week. In this role you will be providing support and essential care to our client, helping them maintain their independence and enabling them to improve their quality of life. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting client to get to a range of activities each week:
  • Gym
  • Swimming
  • Archery
  • Cookery class
  • Football games
  • Comedy nights
  • Gigs
  • Holidays in the UK and abroad
  • Support and assist with rehabilitation programs and therapeutic exercises.
  • Meeting the client’s physical and psychological needs.
  • Emotional support and encouragement with social engagement.
  • Working under guidance of a Multidisciplinary team consisting of case manager, therapists and family members.
  • Promote independence by encouraging life skills and confidence building.
  • Personal Attributes:

    • Empathy, patience and a person-centred approach to care.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to clients' changing needs.
    • Good command of English due to accurate record keeping.
    • Excellent time keeping.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Previous experience and relevant qualifications in Health and social care is desirable, but not essential.
    • A full driving licence is essential due to the client’s needs.
    • Able to swim due to client’s activities.
    • Good command of English is required for record keeping.
