Location: Oldham
Salary: £21,600 plus annual bonus (£13.85 per hour)
Hours: 30 hours per week - this can be worked over five days or 4 full days
Our client is experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen their buying team. As part of a well‑established team the successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their buying skills and gain experience working on some of the interesting schemes the client can deliver, which will greatly enhance their career prospects.
Responsibilities
- Send out and collate quotation enquiries from all suppliers
- Raising client quotations
- Take off and schedule materials from drawings and specifications
- Raise orders for materials
- Collate quotes, analyse & negotiate with suppliers
- Supplier management
- Collate a handover folder and attend the handover meeting
- Raise and issue purchase orders through Construction Manager
- Establish excellent working relationships with suppliers, site teams and contracts management
- Workload within the GRM (Monday)
- Upload project information onto Procore
- Control of all correspondence between the team and key accounts
- Control any delays internally and externally
- Work closely with goods in
- Good understanding of the install workload planner
- Join Zoom meetings when required
- General admin support for key account manager
- Check invoices are paid via account team
- Resolve invoice queries
- Assist the Purchasing Manager and MD where necessary
- PQQ and Tender submissions
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years’ preferred experience in a sales buying role, ideally material and equipment
- Computer literate / Microsoft Office in particular Excel
- Experience in using Excel/CRM systems
- Highly numerate with efficient administration
