We invite applications for the role of Learning Support Manager to support the next phase of the Achievement for All Department, which assists all students who have a barrier to learning, including SEND students and those under investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students lesson by lesson within the AFA Room and work with the Achievement for All Leadership to plan and implement the daily AFA timetable.
  • Monitor students in AFA lessons and support their work and learning needs.
  • Implement a regulation area within the AFA Room for students requiring bespoke intervention during lessons.
  • Offer support in lessons where required, working with small groups and one‑to‑one sessions.
  • Collaborate with and support the Bridge provision – on‑site Alternative Provision providing intensive support for emotional regulation and smaller group curriculum. Students complete a 6‑week placement in Bridge before transitioning back to mainstream lessons.
  • Ensure flexibility, strong communication skills and creative thinking to manage the AFA room effectively, providing best support to the most vulnerable students.
