JOB ROLE: Support Worker

LOCATION: Oldham, Manchester (OL8)

SALARY: £13.45 - £14.05 per hour

SHIFT PATTERN: 21:00 - 08:30 AM

Please note we require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting, making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Boston House: Boston House provides slow‑stream neuro rehabilitation for 17 adults with complex needs following a brain injury, working in conjunction with a Neuro‑Therapy Team to assist the people we support with ongoing rehabilitation goals.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be involved in the day‑to‑day support and routine of the people within the service, including:

  • Providing high standards of care and support for service users, in line with care and support plans
  • Encouraging good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately reporting, recording and maintaining records as required and working to care plans
  • Liaising with health professionals and their families
  • Completing supervisions and audits
  • Ensuring that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
