We are seeking to appoint a motivated and organised Pastoral Support Officer who will work well as part of a team and truly want the best from our students. If you enjoy working with young people and would like to help them prepare for their future working lives, we would like to hear from you.
This is an exciting time to join our academy as we celebrate our Outstanding Academy Inspection in November 2023. Our staff feel valued and our classrooms ooze enthusiasm and productivity. We are seeking to appoint an individual with good interpersonal and communication skills, with a real drive to enhance students’ experience of secondary education.
Role and responsibilities
- Report to the Achievement Coordinator and collaborate with the wider pastoral team and other colleagues to improve attainment and progress for all students.
- Lead on behaviour, attendance and welfare issues for identified year groups.
- Be one of the first points of contact for parents and external agencies.
- Contribute to a culture of outstanding success within the academy.
Requirements and qualifications
- GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent) and a good general education standard.
- At least three years’ experience of working with young people in a secondary school.
- A patient, caring and sympathetic personality with good interpersonal and communication skills.
We offer
- NJC Scale Point: 9 - 17; Actual salary: £23,441 to £26,682 per annum.
- 37 hours per week, term time only; commencing: 01 September 2026.
