Supply Star Recruitment is working on behalf of a private day nursery in West Bromwich that is passionate about laying strong foundations in children’s formative years. The nursery is searching for an inspirational leader to join their team as a Nursery Manager. If you are passionate about raising standards, delivering high‑quality care and education, whilst coaching and mentoring a nursery team, this is the perfect job for you!
Role Purpose
Leading day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high‑quality EYFS framework delivery, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership: Recruiting, mentoring, and performance‑managing the team.
- Ofsted: Adhering to industry standards, remaining compliant inline with the EYFS.
- Financial Management: Managing budgets, occupancy levels, and nursery profitability.
- Safeguarding: Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
- Relationship Building: Engaging with parents and the local community.
Requirements
- Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification. GCSE Maths grade C or Functional Skills Level 2 maths. GCSE English grade C or Functional Skills Level 2 English. Paediatric First Aid (desirable). Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
- Experience: Proven management experience, at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within early years.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
Hours of work: Term‑time, Monday — Friday (phone number removed) pm.
