About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated leader to join City Health Care Partnership as a Northwest Wellbeing Programme Lead, with a significant strategic and operational focus on the delivery and development of Smokefree services.
This senior role will provide leadership across wellbeing programmes, driving innovation, service quality, performance and partnership working to improve population health outcomes.
A substantial element of the post will involve leading Smokefree services, ensuring delivery against national and local priorities, contractual targets, and quality standards.
The successful candidate will bring strong strategic leadership capability alongside proven senior operational management experience within public health, wellbeing or Smokefree services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for wellbeing and Smokefree programmes across the Northwest locality.
- Lead operational delivery, performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all Smokefree reporting requirements, data quality standards and contractual KPIs.
- Develop strong partnerships with NHS organisations, local authorities, public health teams and community stakeholders.
- Monitor service outcomes, analyse performance data and produce high‑quality reports for commissioners and senior leadership teams.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective and patient‑centred services.
- Contribute to business planning, service transformation and future service development opportunities.
- Ensure services remain aligned with national tobacco control strategies and wider wellbeing priorities.
What we’re looking for (Qualifications)
- Experience in public health or health improvement, with confidence working across agencies.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex information in a clear and accessible way.
- Ability to analyse data, solve problems and make informed decisions.
- Experience of leading services, managing staff and delivering projects.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently when needed.
