Locum Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
We are looking for a compassionate, experienced Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to support young people with complex mental health needs. The role is locum (long-term) and offers flexibility and variety across the UK.

- Location: North East (UK-wide opportunities available)
- Rate: Β£100 - Β£110 per hour
- Contract type: Locum (long-term)
- Start date: ASAP
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 0900β1700 (Clinical base North End House)

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and oversee treatment plans.
- Work closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise Section 12/Section 22 and approved/ responsible clinician status (or eligibility).
- Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check.
- Willingness to undergo DBS or PVG if not already achieved.
- Experience working in CAMHS or paediatric mental health settings.
- UK right to work.
- Child-centred, collaborative, and flexible approach.
- Desirable: CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it).
- Preferred locations: Greater London, Midlands, North West & North East England, South East & South West England, Scotland, Wales.
