P4 Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with You Matter to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Night Worker to support their vital services across the Liverpool City Region. For over 180 years, You Matter has been supporting people through some of life’s hardest moments. They work with individuals when life feels unstable, overwhelming or uncertain, providing safe homes and support that always begins with listening. Their services cover homelessness, mental health, addiction and domestic abuse complex and often overlapping challenges. The people they support are often at their lowest point, struggling to find hope. You Matter helps them rediscover their strengths, rebuild confidence, and believe in a more positive future.
The Role
- As a Night Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring residents feel safe, supported and secure throughout the night.
- You’ll be a calm and reassuring presence, responding to needs as they arise and maintaining a stable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight support within supported accommodation services
- Ensure the safety and security of residents and the building
- Conduct regular welfare checks and respond to incidents
- Maintain accurate records and clear handovers
- Work in line with individual support plans
- De‑escalate challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
About You
- Experience in homelessness, mental health, addiction or similar settings is desirable
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, non‑judgemental approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
