We are recruiting for a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator on behalf of our client, a well-established accident repair centre based in Newport.

Duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
- Conduct manual and computerised vehicle damage estimates, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Liaise with insurers and customers to ensure estimates conform to requirements
- Maintain detailed records of all estimates carried out, identifying unauthorised work
- Secure authorisation for work not automatically approved and follow up on outstanding approvals
- Communicate effectively with bodyshop personnel regarding work scope and timelines
- Assess vehicles for total loss where applicable, in line with insurer instructions
- Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety policies and regulations
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained throughout the claims process
Requirements of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
- Proven experience in vehicle estimating, ideally with a background in automotive body repairs
- Strong knowledge of estimating systems, preferably Audatex
- Automotive Technical Accreditation (ATA) or manufacturer training is advantageous but not essential
- Experience with Autoflow Bodyshop Management System is a plus
- Minimum of a UK driving licence with minimal points
