Our client, a leading multi-franchise car dealership in Newport, is recruiting a Parts Advisor to join their efficient Parts Department. Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts between 7:30am-5:30pm and Saturdays on a rota (8:30am-12:30pm), paid at time and a half.

Duties of the Parts Advisor:

  • Identify and pick vehicle parts accurately to fulfil workshop requirements
  • Supply parts promptly to workshop staff to facilitate vehicle repairs
  • Manage parts stock levels, perform stock control, and conduct regular audits
  • Handle trade and retail customer enquiries regarding parts
  • Collaborate with the Parts Manager and team to ensure smooth parts supply operations
  • Maintain electronic parts catalogues and dealer management system (Pinnacle)
  • Support stock organisation and ensure inventory accuracy

Requirements of the Parts Advisor:

  • Recent or current experience within the automotive industry, ideally in parts or aftersales
  • Familiarity with vehicle models and automotive parts is advantageous but not essential
  • IT proficient, with experience working with electronic parts catalogues and dealer management systems
  • Hold a valid UK driving license with minimal points
  • Strong customer service and sales skills, combined with a friendly and professional manner
  • Ability to work well within a team and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency
