We are supporting a highly regarded primary school located in Newport, Gwent, who are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time KS1 Teaching Assistants. As a Full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment for children in Key Stage 1 (KS1), which includes children aged 5-7 years old. Key Responsibilities:- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students who require additional assistance

- Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons, as directed by the classroom teacher
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and learning
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care
- Perform any other duties as required by the classroom teacher or school leadership
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a primary school setting
- A strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for KS1 learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
- Demonstrated ability to provide academic and emotional support to students
- A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their educational and personal growth

- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the ability to obtain one
