Greenfields School is a specialist independent school catering for up to 30 pupils aged 9 to 16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined, and committed Deputy Head to join our Senior Management Team and help plan and implement policies, practice, and working procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Teacher in formulating aims and objectives of the school.
- Establish policies, practices, and structures; manage staff and resources.
- Lead the successful and continual delivery and development of the school's educational services, monitoring performance in line with Estyn expectations and Welsh Government guidance.
- Take responsibility for the Quality of Education, Teaching & Learning, and Curriculum development.
- Create effective positive and proactive working relationships among staff, students, parents/carers, external stakeholders, and professional practitioners.
- Enhance educational standards by implementing an aspirational curriculum that strengthens students' abilities and prepares them for transition to adulthood.
- Lead the education team by setting high expectations for student outcomes and promoting inclusive, forward‑thinking lifelong learning.
Qualifications & Experience
- QTS or other teaching qualifications.
- Senior Leadership experience at Assistant Head level or above.
- Demonstrated experience in educational leadership and curriculum development.
- Strong understanding of Estyn and Welsh Government legislation.
