The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a busy and well-established client based in Newport. This is a great opportunity to work within a skilled workshop producing high-quality bespoke joinery products.
The Role
- You will be responsible for assembling and producing bespoke joinery items, working both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Working accurately from technical drawings
- Manufacturing bespoke joinery products
- Assembling items such as doors, windows, staircases, and fitted furniture
- Operating a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Measuring, setting out, and preparing materials
- Carrying out basic maintenance of machinery
- Supporting general workshop duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bench joinery role
- Relevant qualification in wood occupations or time-served experience
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
- Good timekeeping and ability to meet deadlines
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00
Pay Rate
£14.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
