The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a busy and well-established client based in Newport. This is a great opportunity to work within a skilled workshop producing high-quality bespoke joinery products.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for assembling and producing bespoke joinery items, working both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working accurately from technical drawings
  • Manufacturing bespoke joinery products
  • Assembling items such as doors, windows, staircases, and fitted furniture
  • Operating a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools
  • Measuring, setting out, and preparing materials
  • Carrying out basic maintenance of machinery
  • Supporting general workshop duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bench joinery role
  • Relevant qualification in wood occupations or time-served experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good timekeeping and ability to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00

Pay Rate

£14.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
