We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Consett. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early years professional to take the next step in their career and make a real impact on children's development and the wider team.

The Role:

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of nursery practitioners
  • Ensure full compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Manage occupancy, budgets, and overall nursery performance
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards across the setting

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices
  • A confident, organised, and approachable leader
  • Passionate about early years education and child development
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above, essential)
