We are looking for a Lecturer of A Level Psychology within our Academic Studies Department. Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer who has a proven record of innovation and a pro‑active approach to delivery. You will have also demonstrated an understanding and sensitivity towards the needs of your learners and used this to help them reach their true potential. You will have experience of and/or the ability to teach at least A Level Psychology. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, self‑motivated and a team player. As well as relevant experience, you will be qualified with a Social Science related degree.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Play an active role in the marketing of the College and the Department through such activities as open days and through liaison with local employers and schools.
- Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials, writing schemes of work and mentoring.
- Monitor retention, achievement and pass rates.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Holds a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Has an appropriate teaching qualification.
- Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
- Has experience in the delivery of A level Psychology.
