We’re looking for Leisure Team Apprentices to join us. Working in one of our nine swimming‑pool facilities you’ll be part of a team and experience a range of work activities while achieving qualifications in lifeguarding (NPLQ), swimming teaching (Swim England), and gym instruction (L2 Qualification).

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • You will work in a variety of situations and teams, with shift work including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • You will support facilities during operational hours, assist with swimming instruction, lifeguard duties, and gym and fitness classes.

Requirements

  • Good people skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Happy to work in a variety of situations and shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • Relatively good swimming ability and willingness to complete a swimming test.

Apprenticeship Details

  • 18‑month approximate programme, 37 hours per week for operational roles.
  • Starting salary of £16,457.30 per year for full‑time with a 6‑monthly performance‑based pay rise.
  • 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after five years of service).
