Purpose of job: I am looking for a Personal Assistant to generally support me to maintain and develop my independence and specifically to be a support buddy on a Friday to allow me to attend the UpBeat session and then go for a few games of pool afterwards.
Hours of Work: Fixed 0930 to 1330 on a Friday. Other ad hoc hours may be available from time to time and by mutual agreement.
Rates of Pay: £15.10 per hour, plus holiday pay and expenses. Paid 4 weekly in arrears by bank transfer.
Tasks Involved:
- Facilitate attending UpBeat music sessions: pick up from home in Penarth – drive to session in Fairwater – go to game or 2 of pool – drive back home.
- Support with speech to help people understand me if necessary.
Type of Person Required: Someone with similar interests who would enjoy the activities described above would be beneficial. Car driver with own car, with insurance covered by business insurance. Mileage will be paid.
