We are looking to increase our Engineering Team at our wet wipes site in Bridgwater. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide array of Process, Converting and Packaging equipment in a Double Day based role in the heart of Bridgwater.
We are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor. This is a two shift engineering position 6am-2:15pm and 2pm-10:15pm Monday-Friday. The role will include 1 Saturday Shift (7.5hrs) per Calendar Month at 1.5 times hourly overtime rate. The position will require a proactive, can do attitude.
Duties include:
- Plan and carry out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance on site
- Resolving Day to Day Issues
- Stock Management and Sourcing of Spare Parts as Required
- Continuous Improvement on Existing and New Equipment
- Basic DIY Tasks as Required
Experience/ Qualifications:
- A qualified and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with experience in the Converting and Packaging, FMCG Industry
- Good engineering disciplines and controls and a good knowledge of engineering, health and safety standards, legislation and regulations.
- HNC / NVQ
- Knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions using own initiative.
- Ability to fault find and read drawings, Electrical (PLC’s) and Mechanical (Pneumatics)
- Excellent problem solver who is proactive in recommending and implementing actions to solve issues and improve ways of working.
