Job Responsibilities Manage HR operations and maintain accurate employee records.

Support recruitment, selection and onboarding activities.

Assist with payroll, reward and benefits administration, including preparing deadline-driven employee data changes.

Maintain and support HR systems, produce reports, and ensure HR compliance.

Provide support for employee relations matters and attendance administration.

Support learning, performance and engagement processes.

Contribute to projects and organisational change initiatives.

Support safety, culture and continuous improvement through effective HR practices.

Make decisions within scope and **escalate** appropriately when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications CIPD Level 4 (or equivalent practical HR experience) is essential.

CIPD Level 5 is desirable, or you must be actively working towards it.

Experience in an HR administration, HR assistant, or People Services role supporting multiple stages of the employee lifecycle.

Experience handling confirmation information and supporting absence and/or employee relations administration.

Ability to prepare accurate payroll changes and other deadline-driven employee data.

Confident user of HR systems and Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills and strong attention to data quality.

Practical understanding of core UK employment principles, confidentiality, and UK GDPR requirements.

Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain processes with tact to employees, managers, and external providers.

Strong organisational skills to prioritise competing deadlines, maintain accurate records, and follow actions through to completion with limited supervision.

Experience improving an administrative process or introducing standard workflows (advantageous). Experience producing HR dashboards or working with an integrated HRIS (advantageous). Strong confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.

Ability to support change in a manufacturing setting while maintaining consistency and fairness in HR processes.

Role Details Contract: Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) - 1 year Start date: Available to start by the end of September 2026 Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Location: Ross-shire Site attendance: Fully on site initially, including handover with the current post holder
