Hours: 8.45am - 12.00pm and 1.00-3.00pm; attached to a child and the contract would end if/when they leave the school although it is expected to be until August 2027.

We have an exciting opportunity to work across our school in Gwernymynydd. The role will include a pastoral 1-1 worker for a child to support them with their social communication within our Year 2 and 3 class; this position will involve supporting this child taking their learning outdoors and often following their own curriculum. The hours are 8.45 - 3.00pm.
The successful applicant will work under the guidance of staff and the additional needs co-ordinator. They should have good experience and understanding of effective strategies which engage, motivate and support pupils with specific needs. Evidence of training and experience of working with pupils on a 1-1 basis is desirable. Applicants should have good communication skills when dealing with parents and agencies.
