Job Details

  • Welsh speaking desirable
  • £13.01 per hour plus benefits
  • Part time: 18.75 hours per week (Monday – Friday 9am‑5pm)
  • Mobile role covering approximately 10 funeral homes in North West Wales (Caernarfon, Llanberis, Abergele, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Llandudno)
  • Full manual UK driving licence required

Responsibilities

  • Travel to meet clients and build positive relationships within the community
  • Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions
  • Ensure funeral homes are clean, safe and welcoming, maintaining a professional environment and reporting any maintenance issues
  • Use digital systems and devices (computers, tablets, smartphone applications) to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing
  • Advise clients on funeral plans and refer regulated work to the Funeral Plan Arrangers team as required
  • Assist with manual handling of coffins and the deceased, updating client management applications with accurate information

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and vehicle access
  • Ability to work confidently on own, travelling to client meetings or managing a branch independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and colleagues
  • Comfortable working with numbers, cash handling, discounts, basic data entry and invoicing
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring regulatory policies and processes are adhered to
  • Good IT skills and the ability to learn and effectively use new applications and systems
  • Passion for delivering great service and building relationships, with a high level of empathy, discretion and care
  • Physical ability to carry out the physical elements of the role, such as moving coffins, with appropriate training and equipment provided
  • Fluency in Welsh highly desirable but not required

As part of your application you\’ll need to complete an online assessment. It will take you around 20 minutes to complete this test.
