Responsibilities
- Support children in the classroom, including one-to-one support.
- Assist with teaching and learning activities for students with additional needs.
- Provide support for planned and unplanned absences such as sickness, maternity or paternity leave, and courses.
- Be available to work on short notice, including early morning calls.
- Adhere to VES’ Safeguarding Policy and all procedures to protect children and vulnerable adults.
- Maintain a professional and supportive environment for students and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Significant experience working in ALN or care environments, or a relevant teaching or care qualification, or experience in a UK classroom.
- Enhanced DBS check, subscribed to the DBS Update Service, or willing to undergo one.
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- Minimum of two referees covering the last 24 months of employment.
- Completion of an online Safeguarding course.
