We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) to join our team at Cygnet St Teilo. Located in the village of Rhymney, amid the beautiful Welsh countryside, Cygnet St Teilo House is a 23‑bed service specialising in high‑support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for women in a safe and comfortable environment. The facility has been designed to provide an environment that promotes recovery for women with its focus on space, personal privacy and dignity.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities:

  • Work 42 hours per week. Starter rate £22.62 per hour; after 3 months £22.94 per hour.
  • Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit and improve quality.
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure individual care plans are complete and maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Open, compassionate, honest and resilient.
  • Newly qualified or experienced RMN with a current PIN number.
  • Capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits.
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act 1983 and contemporary nursing practices.
  • Able to deputise in a clinical lead role.
  • Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage and reduce risk.
  • Committed to empowering and supporting service‑user independence.
