Where will you be working?
M Group Highways is supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
What will you be doing?
- You'll work as part of a team operating a vactor unit undertaking highways drainage asset maintenance.
- Using technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
- Drive and operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day to day tasks set.
- Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
- Where appropriate provide direction and supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.
- Undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota.
- In the event of downtime or service disruption you may be asked to fill in on other highways maintenance activities such as repairing potholes, patching, drainage, footways or general highway maintenance.
What you’ll bring:
- A commitment to Health and Safety.
- Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.
- HGV / LGV Class C driving licence.
- Vactor or gully wagon experience.
- High pressure jetting and gully emptying qualification.
- New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Operative Accreditation.
- Lantra 12d.
