Are you ready to be part of a talented team that is driving an ambitious future vision of care across Bristol and Weston? Look no further than Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH) at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation Trust (UHBW). Applications are warmly welcomed for a one-year, fixed term, part time Medical Glaucoma Specialty Doctor post, ideally commencing in early August 2026. The post is designed to support glaucoma ophthalmology services for patients attending Weston General Hospital.
The BEH is a highly regarded Regional Centre for Ophthalmology which sits within the Division of Surgery at UHBW (recently rated Outstanding by the CQC). It provides a tertiary referral service for glaucoma, as well as providing support for the glaucoma care of patients in the closely linked supra-regional corneal, vitreoretinal, uveitis and paediatric services. The service is supported by a highly developed and pioneering optometry shared-care service, as well as a well-integrated electronic patient record with long-standing historical data.
The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the running of the service. They will also be expected to participate in the workload of the hospital and be capable of working to a flexible timetable.
