We have a rewarding opportunity for 2 Night Care Workers to join our residential service in Romiley, Stockport. The Together Trust is one of the North West’s leading charities, offering individual care, support, and education to hundreds of Children, Young People, and Adults each year. We are a not-for-profit charitable trust, so every penny goes back into benefiting the people that we support.
The purpose of a Night Care Worker is to work three 10-hour shifts allocated on the rota, which will include weekends. The core tasks include attending to the needs of the children and young adults during the night, some of which have complex health conditions, domestic duties, and appropriate record keeping in accordance with legislation and regulation. Another member of staff will sleep in the unit and can be disturbed if there is an emergency.
Responsibilities
- Attend to children and young adults’ needs during night shifts.
- Perform domestic duties and maintain a safe environment.
- Keep accurate records in line with legislation.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision and annual appraisals.
- Participate in Trust training courses and in-house training; demonstrate willingness to undertake an appropriate QCF programme, including working occasional day shifts to collect evidence.
- Work unsociable hours during nights and cover annual leave and sickness when necessary.
Hours and Pay
30 hours per week worked over 3 night shifts (including weekends). Night Working Enhanced Payment of 25% paid extra per hour at weekends and from 11pm to 6am weekdays.

Qualifications and Skills
- GCSE level or equivalent.
- NVQ in care or similar, QCF in children and residential or willingness to undertake.
- Experience working with young disabled people.
- Good communication skills and information recording.
