Position: Multi Skilled Engineering Technician

Location: Market Drayton

Salary: £57,289 per annum + 5% signing bonus after probation

Overtime: Time and a half

Working Hours: 7am to 7pm, 7pm to 7am

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults efficiently and completing repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Supporting production by maintaining machinery, utilities and site services to required performance and safety standards.
  • Completing maintenance records accurately and updating job information in the maintenance system.
  • Assisting with installations, modifications, commissioning and improvement projects.
  • Working collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and permit-to-work requirements.
  • Supporting contractor management and ensuring work areas are kept safe, organised and compliant.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled fast-paced engineering or maintenance role within manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
  • Apprentice trained with proven experience of working on fast-moving machinery, pumps, valves and PLCs.
  • Strong fault-finding skills.
  • Good knowledge in the areas of filling and process technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Good knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Team-building skills and strong ability to work cross-functionally.
