Job Purpose
We are supporting a well‑established manufacturing organisation within the construction sector to recruit a Manufacturing Electrician for their Engineering team based in Caerphilly. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and electrical systems within a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on plant and machinery
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and unplanned breakdowns
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and site projects
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and compliance standards
- Working collaboratively with engineering colleagues, production teams, and external contractors as required
Candidate Requirements
- Time‑served apprenticeship as an Electrician with a recognised electrical qualification
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- A proactive, safety‑focused approach to work
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
- Experience with PLCs and control systems (desirable but not essential)
