Job Purpose

We are supporting a well‑established manufacturing organisation within the construction sector to recruit a Manufacturing Electrician for their Engineering team based in Caerphilly. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and electrical systems within a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on plant and machinery
  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and unplanned breakdowns
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and site projects
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Working collaboratively with engineering colleagues, production teams, and external contractors as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Time‑served apprenticeship as an Electrician with a recognised electrical qualification
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • A proactive, safety‑focused approach to work
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
  • Experience with PLCs and control systems (desirable but not essential)
