We need nurses who want to make a difference. We are looking for nurses with an interest in caring for burns injured patients and their families. We can boast a unique service that encompasses the whole of the patient’s journey, with the provision of ward, theatre, rehab and outreach services within the Adult Burns service at MFT plus providing Burn care to patients in an ICU setting.
Our Burns Centre affords the opportunity for our nursing team to follow a patient’s journey through all aspects of care from admission through critical care step down to ward level which incorporates comprehensive rehabilitation and eventually discharge. The Burns Centre team functions with a strong MDT approach. Within our team you would be supported by our very experienced and skilled nurses who lead the team. Additional support in the development of clinical skills is provided by specialist practice based educators who have a wealth of experience within the burns care.

The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
