Manchester Royal Infirmary is seeking to recruit a Senior Resident Doctor in Haematology to join our dynamic and expanding team. This post would suit:

  • A doctor at IMT3 level or equivalent seeking to gain clinical and laboratory experience in Haematology prior to applying for higher specialist training.
  • Doctors with previous Haematology experience looking for a middle-grade, non-training role, or considering the CESR pathway towards specialist registration.

We offer:

  • Comprehensive training in both malignant and non-malignant haematology.
  • Opportunities to participate in research, audit, and teaching within an academic and supportive environment.
  • Applicants who are not GMC-registered at the time of application will be considered under the Trust’s International Fellowship Scheme (please note, a £500 administration fee applies).

Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of the Haematology Department, working closely with consultants and nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with the clinical trials unit on early-phase studies; experience of clinical research is an advantage.
  • Apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree with GMC registration.
  • Clinical experience in Haematology (preferably at IMT3 level).
  • Demonstrated interest in research and teaching.
