Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute trusts in the UK and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. Research & Innovation at MFT is dedicated to driving continuous improvement in the care our patients receive through clinical research, supporting research across a diverse range of clinical areas and delivering improved diagnostics, treatments and devices for patients in Manchester and beyond.

We are seeking a full‑time Band 5 Senior Clinical Research Practitioner to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at MFT, contributing to the development of research within the Gynaecology Research Team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management, coordination and facilitation of clinical trial activities to support the delivery of current and future studies on time and to target.
  • Provide specialist research and clinical care for participants and patients enrolling in a variety of research studies.
  • Work across Research & Innovation to support research studies across MFT as the service needs dictate.
  • Maintain an appropriate patient/participant‑focused environment within the research setting, working with clinical investigators and sponsor companies to manage trial protocols.
  • Ensure data collection meets the highest standards, facilitating the production of good quality research with a commitment to participants’ safety and wellbeing.
  • Participate fully in personal development and review processes to achieve the knowledge and skills identified in the competency framework and competencies for this post.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and experience in clinical research.
  • Previous experience working in a clinical or patient‑facing environment.
  • Flexible approach to working and the ability to work across sites where required.
