The Role

They are looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure and highways schemes across the North West. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of design packages, contribute to project delivery from concept through to construction, and support the development of junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects
  • Produce and review technical designs (highways, drainage, infrastructure)
  • Prepare reports, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders and local authorities
  • Support and mentor junior engineers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience in civil engineering design (consultancy or contractor environment)
  • Strong background in highways and/or drainage design
  • Proficiency with design software (Civil 3D, MicroDrainage)
  • Good understanding of UK design standards
  • Ability to manage workload and contribute to project delivery
  • Working towards or already chartered (ICE or similar)
