A specialist SEN school in Burnage is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 SEN Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis until the end of the academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive SEN setting, helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

The Role

  • Teach a KS2 class within a specialist SEN school
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs
  • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists and parents to support pupil progress
  • Manage behaviour positively and effectively

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally within a specialist setting
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning and EHCPs
  • Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
