This Secondary Tutor Opportunity is for a professional tutor and qualified UK teacher to bridge learning gaps, raise attainment and prepare students for their GCSEs. The successful candidate will have outstanding teaching skills both in the classroom and when delivering innovative and engaging online learning and a passion for helping students from a range of backgrounds to develop their Maths & English skills. It is our mission to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK.

We are looking for Maths & English tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

Location: Crumpsall

Type of work: ASAP

Duration / Likely Duration: Until sufficient progression is made

Contract type: Temporary

Hours: Full-time/part-time

Minimum rate of pay: Part time (dependent on pupils needs) GBP25 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
  • Be confident teaching sessions online
  • Provide a firm but fair approach
  • Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course

Eligibility to work:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
